เมื่อวันที่ ๒๐ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๗ นายณรงค์ บุญเสถียรวงศ์ ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทย เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิด Thai Pavilion ในงานมหกรรมหนังสือนานาชาติไทเป (Taipei International Book Exhibition) ประจำปี ๒๕๖๗ ที่ Taipei World Trade Center Hall

งานดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นโดยกรมส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างประเทศ กระทรวงพาณิชย์ ร่วมกับคณะกรรมการยุทธศาสตร์ซอฟต์พาวเวอร์แห่งชาติ และสมาคมผู้จัดพิมพ์และผู้จำหน่ายหนังสือแห่งประเทศไทย โดยนิทรรศการใน Thai Pavilion จัดขึ้นภายใต้หัวข้อ “Borderless” และมีการนำผลงานของนักเขียนไทยจาก ๒๓ สำนักพิมพ์ รวม ๒๐๐ รายการ มาแสดงที่ไต้หวัน เพื่อส่งเสริมความนิยมไทยและประชาสัมพันธ์ผลงานของนักเขียนไทยให้เป็นที่รู้จักในไต้หวัน และในระดับนานาชาติ

ในพิธีเปิดงาน ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ฯ กล่าวเน้นความสำคัญของวรรณกรรมในการเป็นเชื่อมโยงความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างคนไทยกับคนไต้หวัน รวมถึงการส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ระหว่างกันผ่าน การเดินทางท่องเที่ยว อนึ่ง พิธีเปิดงานดังกล่าวได้รับความสนใจจากสื่อมวลชนและบุคคลในแวดวงวรรณกรรมของไต้หวัน โดยนอกเหนือจากพิธีเปิดแล้ว จะมีกิจกรรมเสวนาเกี่ยวกับวรรณกรรมไทยโดยนักเขียนรุ่นใหม่และกิจกรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมการเชื่อมโยงทางธุรกิจระหว่างผู้ผลิตสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยกับไต้หวันด้วย ทั้งนี้ มหกรรมหนังสือนานาไทเปเปิดให้บุคคลทั่วไปเข้าชมตั้งแต่วันที่ ๒๐ - ๒๕ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๗

Executive Director attended the opening ceremony of the Thai Pavilion at the Taipei International Book Exhibition On 20 February 2024

Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong, Executive Director of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office, attended the opening ceremony of the Thai Pavilion at the Taipei International Book Exhibition in Taipei World Trade Center Hall. The event is organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion of Thailand in cooperation with the National Soft Power Strategy Committee and the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand. The exhibition inside the Thai Pavilion is under the theme “Borderless” and showcases 200 literature pieces from 23 publishers in Thailand. The exhibition aims to promote Thailand’s soft power and raise the awareness of Taiwanese as well as international audiences on Thai literature. At the opening ceremony, the Executive Director delivered remarks emphasising the importance of literature as a bridge to bring people from different backgrounds together and the importance of people-to-people exchanges through tourism. Many Taiwanese media and publishers attended the event. Besides the opening ceremony, the exhibition will have many interesting activities including talk sessions and business matching events. The Taipei International Book Exhibition is open for the public from 20-25 February 2024.
